امام علی علیہ السّلام کی خدمت میں ایک شخص آیا اور دست ادب کو جوڑ کہ  عرض کرنے لگا کہ یا علی سب سے خطرناک نشہ کونسا ہے ؟؟؟؟؟

بس۔ یہ کہنا تھا 

امام علی علیہ السّلام نے فرمایا

سب سے خطرناک نشہ تکبر اور غرور کا ہے 

جس انسان کےوجود میں تکبر اور غرور کا نشہ آ جائے تو  وہ خود پسندی کی دلدل میں اس طرح سے گرفتار ہو جاتا ہے کہ وہ اللّٰہ سے جنگ کرنے لگتا ہے اپنی حقیقیت کو بھلا کہ خود کو عظیم و اعلیٰ سمجھتا ہے اور یہیں سے اپنی دنیا و آخرت تباہ کر بیٹھتا ہے 

اے شخص یاد رکھنا

اللّٰہ کی دربار میں ہر نشے کی معافی ہے لیکن غرور وتکبر کی معافی نہیں 

میں نے اللّٰہ کے رسول سے سنا کہ روز محشر میں وہ لوگ جو غرور وتکبر کرتے تھے وہ سب سے الگ کھڑے ہونگے

اور اللّٰہ جن و انس سے مخاطب ہو کہ کہنے لگے گا کہ یہ ہیں وہ لوگ جو بڑھائی کرتے تھے اور وہ روتے رہیں گے اور پھر اللّٰہ ان کا ٹھکانا دوزخ بنا دے گا

A man came to the service of Imam Ali (as) and folded his hands and asked, "What is the most dangerous drug?"

Bus. That was to say

Imam Ali (as) said:

The most dangerous addiction is arrogance and pride

When a person becomes addicted to arrogance and pride, he becomes entangled in the mire of selfishness in such a way that he begins to fight against Allah. And the Hereafter is ruined

O man, remember

In the court of Allah, every intoxicant is forgiven, but pride and arrogance are not forgiven

I heard from the Messenger of Allah that on the Day of Resurrection those who were proud and arrogant will stand apart.

And Allah will say to the jinn and mankind: They will say: These are they who used to exaggerate and they will weep, and Allah will make their abode Hell.
