امام علی علیہ السّلام کی خدمت میں ایک شخص آ کہ عرض کرنے لگا کہ یا علی علیہ السّلام انسان کی وہ کون سی عادت ہے جو انسان کی دنیا و آخرت تباہ کر دیتی ہے

بس۔۔۔۔ جیسے ہی یہ پوچھا گیا تو امام علی علیہ السّلام نے فرمایا اے شخص وہ عادت ”سستی“ ہے 

یاد رکھنا میں نے اللّٰہ کے رسول صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وآلہ وسلّم سے سنا کہ سست انسان اپنی دنیا و آخرت تباہ کر بیٹھتا ہے کیونکہ سست انسان کے مقدر پہ اللّٰہ کی لعنت برستی ہے یاد رکھنا سستی انسان میں شیطان پیدا کرتا ہے تاکہ انسان اپنی منزل سے محروم ہو جائے کبھی بھی آج کا کام کل تک نہ چھوڑنا کیونکہ یہی ناکام انسان کی پہچان ہے  

تو وہ کہنے یا علی میں سستی کرتا ہوں اور یہی میری ناکامی کی وجہ ہے آپ کچھ ایسا بتائیں جس سے میری سستی ختم ہو جائے 

امام علی علیہ السّلام نے فرمایا 

جب بھی صبح اٹھو تو سات مرتبہ ”سورت اخلاص“ پڑھ کر اللّٰہ سے دعا مانگو ”اے اللّٰہ شیطان کے شر سے، سستی سے ، اور غفلت سے مجھے اپنی پناہ میں رکھ“ اللّٰہ کی مہربانی سے تم سستی سے نکل کر کامیابی تک پہنچ جاؤ گے

A man came to the service of Imam Ali (as) and asked him: What is the habit of man (Ali (as)) that destroys man's world and the hereafter?

Bus.... As soon as this was asked, Imam Ali (as) said: O man, that habit is "lazy"

Remember I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that a lazy person destroys his world and the hereafter because the destiny of a lazy person is cursed by Allah. Never give up today's work till tomorrow because this is the identity of a failed person

So he says or I am lazy in Ali and that is the reason for my failure. Can you tell me something that will end my laziness?
