امام علی علیہ السّلام کی خدمت میں ایک آیا اور دست ادب کو جوڑ کہ عرض کرنے لگا کہ

یا علی علیہ السّلام

میری بیوی میرے گھر کا کام صحیح نہیں کرتی نہ میرے کپڑوں کی دیکھ بھال کرتی ہے اور نہ ہی صفائی کرتی ہے تو کیا میرا ڈانٹا غصہ کرنا صحیح ہے

بس یہ کہنا تھا تو امام علی علیہ السّلام نے فرمایا 

اے شخص کس نے کہا کہ تمہاری بیوی پہ تمہارے گھر کا کام واجب ہے یاد رکھنا اسلام نے عورت کی عزت کو جتنا بلند کیا ہے اتنا کسی مذہب نے نہیں کیا 

میں نے اللّٰہ کے رسول صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وآلہ وسلّم سے سنا کہ عورت کی سب سے بڑی زمہ داری یہ ہے وہ اپنی اولاد کی اچھی پرورش کرے اپنی اولاد کا خیال رکھے 

لیکن اگر اپنی اولاد کی پرورش کی اجرت اپنے شوہر سے مانگنا چاہے تو وہ بھی مانگ سکتی ہے اور تم گھر کے کام کی بات کر رہے ہو 

اگر کوئی عورت خوشی سے گھر کا کام کرتی ہے گھر کو سنبھالتی ہے تو وہ اس کی عظمت ہے اس کا بڑا پن اس کا شکریہ ادا کیا کرو اس کا احترام کیا کرو

میں نے اللّٰہ کے رسول صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وآلہ وسلّم سے سنا

کہ جس وقت عورت اپنے گھر کا کام کرتی ہے اس وقت اللّٰہ اپنے فرشتوں کو زمین پہ بھیجتا ہے اور کہتا ہے کہ جب تک یہ عورت گھر کا کام کرتی رہے اس کے لیے عبادت کرتے رہو اور وہ پورا وقت جو گھر کے کام میں لگاتی ہے وہ اس کی عبادت میں شامل ہو جاتا ہے 

یہ عورت کی عظمت ہے کہ وہ تمہارے گھر کو جنت بناتی ہے تمہارے بچوں کو عظیم انسان بناتی ہے 

لیکن اگر کوئی انسان عورت پہ ظلم کرے اور بار بار گھر کے کام کی وجہ سے ٹوکتا رہے اس پہ ظلم کرتا ہے تو روز محشر اللّٰہ اس انسان کو گدھے کی شکل میں اٹھائے گا اور دوزخ کا ایک دروازا ان لوگوں کےلئے کھولا جائے گا اور کہا جائے گا کہ یہ وہ ہیں جو اپنی ہی عورتوں پہ ظلم کیا ان کو حقیر سمجھا ان کو غلام بنایا 

One came to the service of Imam Ali (as) and folded his hands and began to beg

Or Ali (peace be upon him)

My wife does not do my housework properly nor does she take care of my clothes nor does she clean so is it right for me to be scolded?

All that was to be said was that Imam Ali (as) said:

O man, who said that it is obligatory for your wife to do your housework?

I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that the greatest responsibility of a woman is to take good care of her children and to take care of them.

But if she wants to ask her husband for wages for raising her children, she can ask for it and you are talking about housework.

If a woman happily does the housework and takes care of the house, then she is her greatness. Her greatness. Thank her. Respect her.

I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)

That Allah sends His angels to the earth while she is doing her housework, and says: "Worship her as long as she is doing the housework, and all the time she spends in the housework." He joins in its worship

It is the greatness of a woman that makes your home a paradise and makes your children great human beings

But if a man wrongs a woman and keeps on harassing her because of housework, then on the Day of Resurrection Allah will raise him in the form of a donkey and a gate of Hell will be opened for them and he said: It will be said that they are the ones who oppressed their own women, despised them and enslaved them
